The Coldwater Cavalier Baseball post 4-0 shutout to earn berth in Division III state tournament. The Cavaliers scores two runs in the bottom of the first inning then added insurance late to defeat Marion Pleasant in the Division III Regional championship game at Ed Sandy Field in Elida on Friday afternoon. With the win Coldwater (27-4) heads to its 15th state final four since 1961, the first since 2004, Friday at Cooper Stadium in Columbus against (28-3) Canton Central Catholic at 1PM. Canton beat Peninsula Woodbridge 13-9 to capture the Massillon Regional Title.

The Celina Lady Bulldog Softball team posted a shutout of their own by defeating Kenton Ridge 1-0 at Northmont on Saturday afternoon. With their win the Celina Lady Bulldogs head to Akron Firestone Stadium to take on Dover Tornadoes at a 12:30 first pitch time. This is the first time since 1999 that the Bulldogs have made it to the state softball tournament.
